The Staff is Finally Done.

I finished it. Since the end of December I have been working on what has become the best staff I have done so far. I think.
It is so long that to see details I must show it in sections.

An idea of the set up of the sections.
Long view down it.
A rough horse drawing.
Wood has awesome color.
A rough horse sculpture.

My little art update is finished.

  1. Mr. Chip,

I think I just might strangle you the next time you call something a "rough" drawing or a "simple" sketch.

Then again, strangling is probably not very exemplary of Christian charity.

    hmmm...

I was trying to say 'nice job' but compliments get stuck in my throat... I've really got to work on this...

BTW, the staff is reminiscent of LOTR- and the horse, well, looked a lot like a horse (which is more than I can say for myself sometimes...) :D

  2. I like rough sketches and staffs which are considered to be the artist's best. I had no idea you were such a scluptureist. How long is your staff? And can it create light like Gandalf's staff can? I always wanted a staff that can be used both as a night light when I need to go to the bathroom in the dark and as a fearsome weapon that can fight the balgrogs under the bed that I encounter along the way.
